when will he lift his leg?

Hi!

We have a 4 month old Frenchie who is wonderful. However, we're wondering when (and if!) he will start lifting his leg to pee? He's been a squatter ever since we got him.

Not that it really matters how he pees... We're just wondering, that's all! Thanks!!

He may not...this is perfectly normal for male dogs across all breeds. There is even the reverse effect in the case of some females. Some vets say it has to do with the level of testosterone and some vets say it is behavioral, learning it from other males. Some males never learn even with a clear example in the pack. Good Luck!
